I did this interview with Ellie before the first time she’d played (a sold out) Brixton Academy. Kids were sleeping out the night before in the queue. She was quite nervous.

This was a huge shoot. It was at The O2 and I think we had 17 cameras around the place shooting. It took a couple of months to set up and I had to deal with the lawyers from Sony Music, Live Nation and The O2 – it got pretty stressful to make sure everyone…
This was actually quite a lot of work. As Head of Partnerships for O2 Academy TV I organised Tinie Tempah to play his new song ‘Don’t Sell Out’ live in a totally empty O2 to announce and promote his upcoming tour. This was the first time this song had ever been heard or seen anywhere…
This was filmed up in Manchester and we did a live recording too. Paloma was 1000% professional and looked a bit relieved when I told the DOP that this was for a YouTube channel and maybe we didn’t need to redo a tracking shot for the 14th time to get it to his liking.
These guys were genuinely funny. The cameraman kept ruining the interview by laughing.

Me and Jesse Hughes of Eagles of Death Metal clambered onto the roof of the Islington Academy and had a chat about things.
